What To Do When You Can’t Canoe

The Mohican area is know as the camping and canoe capital of Ohio. But, what is there to do if the rivers are high and you can’t canoe?

Mohican Adventures has mini golf, go karts or an aerial adventure park. Fly through the trees on zip lines at Tree Frog Canopy Tours? Buy a day pass and swim indoors or outdoors at Mohican State Park Lodge. Grab a pizza from Trails End Restaurant or a lunch from The Mohican Country Market for a picnic in one of our State Parks. Stay and hike any of the scenic trails, climb the fire tower at Mohican State Park or tour the Big House at Malabar Farm State Park. Horseback riding is available at nearby Equestrian Valley Farm. Visit the Loudonville Library. Take in a movie or a play at the historic Ohio Theatre in Loudonville. Visit one or all of our area museums or historic areas-Cleo Redd Fisher Museum, Little Buckeye Children’s Museum, Wolf Creek Grist Mill and Museum or a self-guided tour of the Ken Hurst 1800’s Mohican River Valley. You can also catch live entertainment and fun at one of our local wineries-Ugly Bunny, Sunny Slope, or Fox Winery! Shopping is always an adventure in historic downtown Loudonville or nearby Amish Country!

So much to choose from and so little time!
