NIGHT HIKE

November 10th, 8pm, at Mohican State Park's Camp Store. Experience discovering the magic of night. Use your senses to navigate your way in the woods after dark. No need for flashlights. No glow sticks please. The trail is rated an easy hike but may be muddy. Length of hike is about 3 miles. Free and open to the public.

TAKE A HIKE DAY

Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Director Jim Zehringer invites you to participate in a scenic hike along the Lyons Falls Trail at Mohican State Park in honor of National Take a Hike Day here in Ohio! CORN HUSK DOLLS

November 18th & 25th, 10am, at Mohican State Park Lodge. Welcome to fall. This season spend some time crafting the old-fashioned way; with natural materials and your own hands. Originally a Native American creation, corn husk dolls soon became just as popular with pioneers. Today, corn husk art is considered part of our heritage. Free and open to the public.

READING THE RIVER AND WATER SAFETY

November 19th & 26th, 2pm, at Mohican State Park's Camp Store. Join us for a presentation on how to read water by its flow, twists and turns. By learning to read the river you increase your enjoyment whether your paddling, tubing fishing or birding. The presentation is followed by an easy hike along the Clearfork branch of the Mohican River. Free and open to the public.

LIVING AT THE BOTTOM OF THE WORLD

November 20th, 7pm, at the C.E. Budd School Auditorium. Dr. John S. Allerding spent 10 months as the Lead Physician with the U.S. Antarctic Program at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. After a full house for his program last year, he returns for an encore presentation. Free and open to the public.
