Every Saturday 7:00 p.m. at Mohican State Park Lodge. Live birds-of-prey are presented by members of the Ohio Bird Sanctuary in the lobby of Mohican Lodge. The group brings live hawks, owls and other predatory birds and provides information about bird habitats, behavior and challenges. Free and open to the public

25th ANNUAL BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

Thursday - September 12, 2019

Join us for our 25th annual Mohican Bluegrass Festival, this September. This three day family event offers every one of all ages the opportunity to venture out to Mohican Wilderness Campground for this outdoor festival. The grand log stage is settled in the valley along the Mohican River. Although picnic tables and benches are present in the stage area, lawn chairs are highly recommended to keep you comfortable. Food vendors on-site, coolers welcome. Craft vendors on site and plenty of recreation in camp to help keep the kiddos entertained. FREE parking for weekend campers and day visitors. Accessible parking and port-a-pots available. Kids (17 and under) are free.

MOHICAN 5K FUN RUN

Saturday - September 28, 2019

The Loudonville-Mohican Chamber of Commerce hosts the Mohican 5K Run/Walk in Loudonville. Proceeds from this event will be used to help complete and maintain the bike path connecting downtown Loudonville to Mohican State Park Campground. The race will begin on Wally Road, just south of its intersection with West Main Street in Loudonville and adjacent to the bike path. Racers will head south on Wally Road to Route 3 where they will then run on the bike path south to the halfway point, and then return, heading north but staying on the bike path to the finish point near the Wally Road ball fields along the river. Both run and walk races will be run together with 9 a.m. start time, with walkers lining up behind runners at the starting line. OKTOBERFEST

Admission to Oktoberfest at the Wolf Creek Grist Mill in Mohican is $5/person age 21 and over. When: September 28, 2019 from Noon to 11:00pm Location: State Route 3 South, Loudonville, OH 44842 Oktoberfest at the Wolf Creek Grist Mill in Mohican has three large tents so come rain or shine. This incredible fundraiser is full of food, beer, wine, games and entertainment. The Wolf Creek Grist Mill provides a chance for visitors to help this historic site while enjoying the scenery, food and tastings all at the same time. Oktoberfest at The Mill has become such a popular event because unlike many Oktoberfest’s that only offer a limited selection of beer, this event features over 75 different kinds of beer. Patrons love being able to sample any variety offered so they can experience many different beers without having to commit to an entire glass or bottle of something they’ve never had before. Each visitor that is 21 years old and over, has the opportunity to taste beers that range from seasonal selections, craft beers, local selections to include nearby craft brewers Millersburg Brewing Company, international selections, ciders, gluten-free choices, draft and bottle selections. Wines include varieties from D&D Smith Winery and Paper Moon vineyards. This is Wolf Creek Grist Mill’s biggest fundraiser of the year.
